As new members to the St. Clair West community, it is clear that the neighbourhood is in the process of changing rapidly. We at Akin believe it’s important that new changes are guided by the existing community. In partnership with StreetARToronto - a program of the City of Toronto, Transportation Services Division, Akin aims to have the surrounding neighbourhood involved in the creation of a community mural on the side of our artist studio this summer. We would love for you all to be part of the process!

This summer, Akin will be hosting a community open-house, and everyone is welcome! At our open-house we will have a series of activities for children and visitors are welcome to have a look around our studio.

We will also be hosting a series of community workshops on how to use a spray paint can and make murals.

July 10: 6-9pm Graffiti Workshop at 1747 St Clair Ave West

How to get involved: 
If you have ideas about the mural please get in touch by emailing rachel@akincollective.com. We will also need everyone to get involved in order to make this project a success.
