Soft, Sloppy, Stories draws on Sloppy Craft, post-punk methodology, feminist story-telling and the body archive.

Through material exploration, Soft, Sloppy, Stories invites open dialogue on mental health issues, trauma and intrusive memories. Typically, books made from fabric are intended for infants as a safe space to learn to read. My books are designed for you, for lovers, survivors, artists, her, him, they, them and me.

The form, appearance and tactility of the books aim to conceptually connect to the physical worsening of distress, depression and traumatic memory. Deconstructive manipulation such as fraying and ripping are used throughout the work to influence affect in the reading experience.
