Akin Show and Tell - Artist Merchandise

  • Akin Lansdowne, studio 101 87 Wade Avenue Toronto, ON, M6H 1P5 Canada (map)

Every month Akin host’s a relaxed and fun ‘Show and Tell for Artists’ at one of the Akin Collective studios or at one of our partner organizations. This is a time for Akin members and other Toronto artists to show completed works or works in progress and get friendly feedback and answers from their peers in a casual studio setting.

This is a special Show and Tell for artist's who create merchandise! Connect with your peers at this collaborative, conversational event. Share your skills, resources, and ideas, and have your questions answered. Please come prepared to talk and share your thoughts and process about your own creative work.

Show and share your packaging, products and displays and participate in a lively conversation about the adventure of selling your art in Toronto! Suitable for artists, designers, craftspeople or anyone running a creative business that sells merchandise.

Seating is limited so we ask that participants please REGISTER ONLINE (registration is free): www.universe.com/artmerch

Participants are encouraged to bring samples of their merchandise including packaging, labels and displays to show to the group and come prepared with questions so we can all share our knowledge.

Topics of conversation may include, but are not limited to:
- Where to buy packaging
- How to make displays
- Photographing your product
- Where to sell your products
- How to price your products
- How to edition multiples

Feel free to bring snacks or drinks. Please do not sell your items to each other at the event, but feel free to bring business cards and marketing materials to share with anyone who is interested in your products.

This edition of the Show and Tell is happening at Akin Lansdowne in studio 101.
