Akin Richmond Detailed Accessibility Information

Our studios at Akin Richmond are located on the ground floor of the building. The entrance to the studio is on-grade and automated. The double door is 37x2  inches wide and has a push-bar doorknob. The door is left closed and locked and you must use a key to enter. There is step-free access inside the studio area. The aisle leading to the dedicated studio spaces is 83 inches wide.

There is one gender-neutral bathroom. There are no grab bars in the bathroom and the toilets are not raised. The bathroom doorway is on-grade and is 36 inches wide and has a handle doorknob. It is not automated. 

There are no emergency exits in the unit at Akin Richmond. In case of emergency, use the studio door which leads directly to Richmond St West. There is an emergency alarm switch located on the walls, beside the entrance door. The fire extinguishers are located at one of the dedicated studios beside the window . The first aid kit is located in the bathroom. There are smoke detectors, sprinklers and carbon monoxide detectors in all the units.
