Akin Open Studio!
Join us October 14 from 12-4pm at the Akin Open Studio event for a peek into what the talented artists at the Akin Studio Program at Auto BLDG have been creating this year in the studio!
Whether you're an art enthusiast, or simply looking for a unique afternoon, this event is the perfect way to enjoy Culture Days Ontario, an annual celebration of arts, culture and heritage taking place each fall across the province.

This will be the final Open Studio event for the Akin Studio Program at Auto BLDG. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all who have been a part of this incredible journey since our launch in 2018. This year will mark the program's final chapter. We appreciate all the talented studio members who have brought life and creativity to this space over the years. Don’t miss your chance to see the space in person for the last time!
Admission:
FREE to attend – no tickets required for the Open Studio! Just drop in at any time between 12-4pm and go straight to the 4th floor.
If you are interested in visiting the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) while you are in the building (Floors 2 and 3) please note you will need an admission ticket.
Accessibility:
Enter through the rear entrance of the building. The studios are located on the 4th floor of the building and there is elevator access from the main floor. There are two gendered bathrooms on the 4th floor with automated entrances and accessible stalls with grab bars. There is a gender neutral bathroom on the main floor of the building. The doorways to the studio spaces are not automated but will be propped open during the event. There are no steps to access the bathrooms or studio spaces.
