Artist Opportunities - Autumn 2024 Edition
Opportunity is knocking! Take some time this fall to apply for some of these fantastic opportunities coming up.
Winter Stations is a single-stage international design competition held annually in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Participants are tasked with designing temporary winter art installations which incorporate existing lifeguard towers spaced strategically across the city’s Kew and Woodbine beaches. The structures (not in use in the wintertime) are considered visual anchor points for the installations.

The BWG Library seeks applications from professional First Nations, Metis, and/or Inuit visual artists for the installation and long-term exhibition of public art pieces in the main Café area of the BWG Library and Cultural Centre to be installed in early 2025 This project provides one artist or one collective of artists up to $10,000 for the fulfillment of this project.

Burlington Waterfront Sculpture Trail Exhibition has 4 unique opportunities for artists working in sculptural forms in a wide range of mediums. This year's exhibition will run from April 5th to June 1, 2025.

Oxford Properties Group and Art Consultant Kyla Radoja will commission an emerging artist within Canada to create a new permanent public artwork to be installed in a future Scarborough Town Centre master-planned community. They are seeking to commission public artworks that are inviting, intriguing and inclusive within the site, and are compatible with the development’s architecture and landscape design.

Founded in 2001, in a partnership with Parks Canada, the Klondike Institute of Art and Culture (KIAC) Artist in Residence Program has welcomed over 300 talented artists, musicians and filmmakers to Dawson City, Yukon from all regions of Canada and around the world. The residence accommodates two artists concurrently for research, development and production of ongoing or new bodies of work. KIAC accepts applications from visual artists, media artists and interdisciplinary artists, as well as curators. All disciplines will be considered. Applicants may apply for residencies 4–12 weeks in duration.

2025 Film Festival Residency at KIAC
The Dawson City International Short Film Festival takes place each spring on Easter Weekend and presents screenings, workshops, panel discussions, presentations, and more to over 1,000 enthusiastic cinema buffs. The 2025 festival occurs April 17-20. Filmmakers working in all media may apply for residency dates to coincide with the Film Festival and have the opportunity to participate in Festival Programming.
