Newcomer and Refugee Artist Mentorship Program - Two Info Sessions Coming Up
The Toronto Arts Council, North York Arts and UrbanArtsTO will be hosting two info sessions for the Toronto Arts Council’s Newcomer and Refugee Artist Mentorship Program. They will be talking about who is eligible to apply, how to find the right mentor for you, and how to get started on your application. Here are the session details:
January 24 / 1 – 3 pm / Toronto Centre for the Arts, Lower Gallery (5040 Yonge Street)
February 15 / 6-8pm / UrbanArtsTO Community Arts Council (5 Bartonville Ave East)
The program was created to provide support for newcomer and refugee artists to develop their artistic practice and support the integration and inclusion of newcomer and refugee artists to Toronto. It provides funding for newcomer and refugee professional artists to be mentored in their chosen artistic discipline. Deadline to apply is May 1st, 2018. The Newcomer and Refugee Artist Mentorship program is open only to professional artists who arrived in Canada after January 1, 2011 and who live in the City of Toronto.
