Get to Know the Lost and Found Project Space
Located at 420 Queen Street East, The Lost & Found is a new artist-led project hosting exhibitions, workshops, and kiln firing services.
The Lost & Found provides exhibition space in downtown Toronto, where space is at a premium. The founder, Nurielle Stern, is a ceramic artist who aims to facilitate connections between artists and curators, create exhibition opportunities, and connect artists and communities. The Lost & Found supports experimental, non-commercial, and under-represented artistic practices.
Nurielle Stern, Founder of Lost & Found Project Space
Nurielle Stern creates sculptural ceramic objects and immersive installations that often combine ceramics and other media. Her pieces are saturated with texture and vibrant glazes giving them a hyper-real quality. In her work, Nurielle makes tangible a fictional world of her own imagining, creating things at once strange and familiar. Nurielle Stern is a Toronto-based sculpture and installation artist, and a graduate of Alfred University’s MFA program in Ceramic Art (2014, NY).

A phone call bridges the gap between personal experiences and the grim realities that exist on the front lines of the global environmental crisis. A devastating forest fire comes to life. Melancholic melody and wistful lyricism weave into an unsettling crackle, forging together the layers of an uncomfortable and alarming soundscape. Audiences are invited to listen in on both sides of a phone conversation and hear how two extremes, ignorance and unobstructed, inescapable awareness, emerge.
